– GEOLOGY TEACHER WORKSHOPS –
Geology and Ohio’s Oil and Gas Industry
Designed specifically for middle school and high school geology and earth science teachers, this workshop will connect Ohio’s Physical Geology Standards to hands-on lessons related to the crude oil and natural gas industry. Participating teachers will receive lesson plans, geological maps, digital resources, rock and mineral kits and other classroom supplies. Lunch is included. This workshop is free, but limited to 30 teachers. CEU documentation will also be provided.
– SCIENCE TEACHER WORKSHOPS –
The goal of these workshops are to help foster energy education by connecting science education to the energy industry. The free workshops include: curriculum, classroom supplies, material kits, seven “hands-on” learning stations, evening social gathering, a special oilfield tour (day 2), Continuing Education Units credit documentation, overnight accommodations, meals and much more! Optional graduate credits are available through Ashland University at an additional cost.
