OOGEEP Geology Teacher Workshop

Geology and Ohio’s Oil and Gas Industry
Designed specifically for middle school and high school geology and earth science teachers, this workshop will connect Ohio’s Physical Geology Standards to hands-on lessons related to the crude oil and natural gas industry. Participating teachers will receive OOGEEP’s geology curriculum, geological maps, digital resources, rock and mineral kits and other classroom supplies. This free workshop also includes an evening social gathering, a special oilfield tour (day 2), Continuing Education Units credit documentation, overnight accommodations, meals and much more! Optional graduate credits are available through Ashland University at an additional cost.

Registration:
Early registration is encouraged because this workshop is limited to only 40 participants and will fill up quickly! Once registered, you will receive a confirmation letter, or a notification that you have been placed on a “wait list.” No “walk-in” registrations are permitted. Workshop limits: 4 teachers per school, 4 out-of-state teachers total, and no home-school teachers at this time.
